The novel has attracted innumerable readers with its beautiful language, fascinating plots and intriguing symbolism. The number of critiques, comparative studies and author biographies grows every year. Authorization was granted by the Periodical Center of Renmin University of China to collect articles about Dream of the Red Chamber published from 1979 to 1993. We carefully selected a set of valuable articles that would be helpful for scholarly research and reference. Proceedings of conferences on the novel were also included. All this material was built into an online database that allows full-text search. The interface allows users to search simplified Chinese contents using traditional Chinese.
